T.B.M. Cutters was established in 1996 through necessity by Maurice Sturrs after a long and
Successful career with British Coal, after 35 years service in the position of Area Mechanisation
Engineer for North Yorkshire, moving on to work in the construction area with a tooling supplier
and gaining new customers in the Tunnelling Business with his knowledge of mining and designing
cutters then setting up his own company to fulfil his promises to customer deadlines.

As the company grew with new customers, Jason Turner joined Maurice in 1998 to help meet new demands from
customers and to help run the growing business.

Over the years we have invested heavily in the latest manufacturing machines to meet customer
demands and be at the front in T.B.M. Cutter design and manufacture.
